We use several campaigns. Some we have a customer number of our choosing and others we use the random generate feature. Is there any way to shorten or customise the numbers returned in a generate random number operation?

Unfortunately, the random-number generator is set to 16 numbers and there's no way implemented to shorten that. But the suggestion to allow one to specify the length of the random number is a good one, and I've added it to the feature request queue. It will probably be implemented as a preference in the account settings.
