ok I give up! Can't find anything about AutoReward in the FAQ and can't figure out where it is in the User interface?

SOLUTION:

AutoReward is a feature of the Loyalty Link online customer sign-up (ie: when a customer signs up for a rewards program on your site, you can have them automatically receive a "sign-up bonus") and only for Option 2 (the version that you can install on your own website.) The instructions on how to set that up are here:

It is, however, not part of the administrative interface, since the transactions are entered manually (or through the import functionality.)

If you are, on the other hand, referring to an ability to automatically dispense rewards once a customer reaches a certain balance level, then that is not a feature we offer yet. Although we realize that in some few cases, a business does want or need their loyalty program to do just that, in most cases, a business isn't all that interested in giving away things that customers haven't specifically asked for. However, because there are quite valid reasons to have automatic rewards, we are planning to add that to the next version of StickyStreet (or shortly thereafter).
