Domain Mapping?

QUESTION:

I've purchased Go  Daddy's cheapest SSL cert and a domain. Now what?

ANSWER:

The process of "domain mapping" involves changes in both our DNS servers. In your case, use the GoDaddy control panel for the domain you purchased to change the DNS record, and edit the CNAME record that points the www.yourdomain.com domain to your Client Toolbox  custom subdomain.

Then, send us the following certificate files for to install on our server:

- The .cert file (could be a .txt too)
- the dg_bundle or ga_bundle key
- optionally, if they gave it, the CA cert file.

On our side, we:
1) Request a two new IPs for the SSL certificate.
2) Install the certificate files in our two (redundant) servers.
3) Create a new DNS entry on our server for the (sub)domain and point it to the load balancer
4) Create a new vhost on both servers that points your domain-mapped (sub)domain to the Client Toolbox with the proper SSL directives.
5) Wait a few hours to days at each step for propagation to occur.

That's all!

Let me know if you run into trouble exporting/getting the SSL certificate from GoDaddy to send me!
